A Guide to Affordable Beauty

Thursday, December 8, 2011

I've read everywhere that green tea has some great benefits for your skin.  So when I found a new moisturizer that had green tea extracts and liked it, I decided to get the matching cleanser.  St. Ives has some really great, inexpensive products that work fantastic.  Therefore, I wasn't surprised to find that I enjoy using this cleanser.

Product Description

Salicylic acid acne medication with 100% natural green tea. Formulated without parabens And phthalates. Uses: helps prevent And treat ACNE.

  • Clears breakouts & reduces REDNESS.

  • OIL free. HYPO-ALLERGENIC.

  • NON- COMEDOGENIC.

  • DERMATOLOGIST tested.

  • Performance
If there's one thing I will never run out of, that's face wash.  I hate the way bar soap makes my skin feel tight and dries out around my eyebrows and mouth.  This face wash helped reduce my oily t-zone problem in just a week's time.  I don't have break outs often, but when I do they're always swollen and red.  When I use this cleanser, the size and redness reduce.  I love how soft my face feels after using it!  I also use small amounts of it on the occasional body blemish.

    Scent
I can't say that it smells like green tea to me, but it does smell delicious.  I've never had a face wash that had such a pleasant scent.

    Score
I've noticed a big improvement on my skin. 10/10

    Cost
$3-$5 for a 6.75 oz bottle-  The price varies depending which store you visit.
