St. Ives Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer Review

With a container as big as its name, St. Ives Timeless Skin moisturizer is a very budget-friendly addition to my skin regimen.  Although I am still young, I have found myself worrying about my aging skin.  My face is on the oily side, and I have found that most moisturizers add to the existing oil.  Because I don't have a good relationship with moisturizers, I can't see myself buying expensive ones.  So when I found this deal on Amazon, I couldn't resist buying it.  I am pleasantly surprised with this great little find!

Performance

First off, I am not much of a label reader as far as ingredients are concerned, but the first thing that caught my eye about this product (other than the price) was the fact that it is not tested on animals, and it is formulated without parabens and phthalates.  I can't argue with that.  The actual product is very creamy-- silky almost.  I used way too much the first time I used it; I had to rub some off.  I like this product as a nighttime moisturizer because it is a little heavier.  After using it for a few weeks now, I noticed that my skin is actually softer and smoother.  The only problem I have with it is that it's a little heavy.

Scent

 It it fortunate that the scent is very light because it is not appealing.  It doesn't really smell bad, but it has a sort of tang to it.  Once it's on the skin, you cannot smell it.

Score

 Because the scent is a little strange and it is too heavy for my tastes, I'll give it a 7/10.

Cost

$2.92-$7.00 for a 10 oz tub-  The price varies depending which merchant you purchase it from.

Repeat Customer?

While I like the product, and it is extremely ecconomic, I doubt I will purchase it again.  It's a good thing this tub will last forever!
